Shel + Drew
When I say, that I have never met a couple more obviously soulmates than these two... I mean it. They are truly best friends and it is so special to witness their love.
We knew we wanted a special location for their session, and we found the perfect place, that meant something to all of us. Blackwater River State Park.
S & D eventually want to move out to the country, as they love exploring. As for me, I grew up coming to the park where we did the photos, so I enjoy any opportunity to be out there. In some areas, they had just done a controlled burn, so it made for some dreamy, dark and orangey photos like this one above!
a pitcher plant kinda love
We spent a good amount of the afternoon, walking the trail to find pitcher plants! I had never seen one before, but Shel & Drew love them, and were on a hunt to show me one! I still remember the moment Drew finally found some after we had thought maybe the burn had taken them all. But here you can see this cute baby one! It was a highlight of the session and I had to grab a photo of one because they mean so much to S & D.
